 1Inspection and Repair

What costs are involved?

We offer two types of service: inspection and repair, and warranty repairs for manufacturer defects or damages incurred after use.

The cost for inspection and repair includes labor and any necessary replacement parts, with prices available on our website. If a specific repair is needed that is not listed on our labor cost list, we will provide an approximate cost for your approval before proceeding.

 

How is the work carried out?

We reserve the right to reject any booking or repair on your scooter without providing a reason.

Before any repair, we will inspect the scooter and inform you of the estimated cost for replacement parts and labor. If you agree to proceed, you must leave the scooter with us until the repair is complete.

We will contact you when the repair is finished to arrange collection and payment. We reserve the right to decide whether or not to proceed with the repair and if we decline, we will charge only the inspection fee.

Before bringing your scooter to our workshop, please remove any accessories that may impede the repair process.

We only use original Minimotors Dualtron parts and follow factory guidance. Repair times can vary between 2-15 business days depending on the work required. If replacement parts are not in stock, repair time will be adjusted accordingly.

We are not liable for lost or damaged accessories left on the scooter and we do not guarantee a specific repair time.

If we replace parts, they will not be returned unless requested before repair.

If the scooter is stolen while it's with us, we may offer compensation or replacement at a reduced cost. We will not compensate for theft unless proof of purchase and ownership is provided.

 

What happens after repair? 

Upon completion of the repair, we will contact you to arrange payment and collection. Payment methods accepted include cash, card, and bank transfer. If a bank transfer is selected, please ensure payment is made at least 30 minutes prior to collection to confirm receipt. If you are dissatisfied with the repair, we will inspect the scooter and, if the issue is a result of our work, we will repair it free of charge. If the issue is not related to our work, the customer will be responsible for the cost of labor and replacement parts.

Please note that you are required to collect the scooter from our shop within 10 days of completion or notification. Failure to do so may result in a storage fee of £5 per day, up to a maximum of 30 days. If the scooter is not collected within 30 days, we reserve the right to take ownership of the vehicle.

We offer a 3-month warranty on any repairs and parts/accessories purchased and fitted by us. However, please note that we do not offer warranty on tyre and/or tube replacement. If a puncture occurs after replacement, a new repair will be subject to the cost of parts and labor.

Labour Cost and Services Provided:

The labor cost for repairs is based on a minimum charge of £25 for jobs that take one hour or less. For repairs that take longer than one hour, an additional charge of £25 per hour will apply. Please note that this is an estimate and the cost may vary depending on the complexity of the repair and the specific scooter model.

***Please be advised that modification of the scooter's original components with non-branded parts, installation of accessories, or any mechanical and/or electrical alterations to the scooter may result in the nullification of the warranty. It is recommended to review the seller's warranty policy prior to making any modifications.

 

 2. Manufacturer Defect or Broken After Use

Please be advised that for products with factory defects, we offer the option to exchange the product. Requests for exchange should be made via email to sales@dualtron.uk. Refunds are not available for products with factory defects, or for used or damaged products.

In order to qualify for free repair or an exchange, the product must meet the following criteria:

  1. The product must have a factory defect
  2. The product must have been sold with warranty
  3. The customer must notify us of the defect within the warranty period.

In the event that a customer believes a product to have a factory defect, the customer must return the product to the company for inspection at their own cost. Upon inspection, if the product is found to have a factory defect, the company will either repair the product and return it to the customer, or exchange it for a new product if it cannot be repaired.

Only factory defects are covered under the warranty and it does not cover accidental damage, misuse, damage sustained during transit, or consumable parts. If the product is found not to have a factory defect upon inspection, the company may charge a fee of £50 for the inspection. It is recommended that customers review the company's terms and conditions and refund policy on their website prior to making a purchase.

 

FAQ Repairs

Yes, we only fix Dualtron scooters bought from Scootera Ltd Dualtron.uk

We fix punctures on Dualtron scooters, whether they have tubes or tubeless tires. The tubes we use are provided by Minimotors and are the correct size for your Dualtron model, but they may vary in material or valve design from order to order. We only replace the entire tube or tire, we don't repair the hole.
