New Removable Battery Design makes charging and replacing a battery a much safer process than before, the battery and its connector to the controller being fully sealed.

Overheating. By removing it from potentially hot neighboring component like the controller, risks to the battery such as water damage and overheating, have now been mitigated.

You can enjoy full power without the worry of overheating or condensation.

Easier to Carry up stairs. The 12.4 Kg Removable Battery now helps you carry the scooter and the battery separately, reducing the load when you want to transfer it into your home or your car. Divided weights will be 33 Kg and 12.4 kg which is more manageable to lift in two trips than carrying the whole 46 kg at once.

Minimotors Innovation - The Battery Compartment has been upgraded with 6 moisture runaway holes and following a principle called capillary action, helps drain any water caught inside, following laws of capilarity and gravity, therefore the risk of water sitting inside the battery compartment has been eliminated, even if it does enter the battery compartment.

Body Upgrades

Redesigned Suspension Arms now have a differrent look than the previous Thunder, and are housing Multi-Coloured LED.

Redesigned Adjustable Stand. It looks very similar to the Stand found on Dualtron X, made to support a weight of 65 Kg, and Storm weighs only 46 Kg.

3 x Upgrades

Minimotors is always listening closely to customers and Dualtron Distributors for valuable feedback on how they’re using their Dualtron. Fortunately, Dualtron Storm comes with a new folding system with not one, but 3x Innovations in this area.

Redesigned Point of Entry. The previous Clamp Design has a round surface in contact with the screws. Now the screws sit flush to a flat surface, increasing tightness of the 2 screws going through the both the Steering Column and the Lower Bracket.

Double Folding Lock ( Quick Release ). Many new Dualtron Owners buy a reinforced folding lock and Minimotors has acknowledged this by making it standard on the New Dualtron Storm. A double clamp is proven to make users feel safer as well.

Double Lock Ring - Castellated Nuts.The double castellated nut lock ring is borrowed directly from DUALTRON X 1 and is an improvement over the current gear-shaped lock ring from the Dualtron Folding System.

Striving for safety, Minimotors has added full backlit Footrest Support with Red Brake Lights and Amber Turn Signals and Hazards.

Be more visible for those behind you on your Dualtron Storm, or signal your intentions for emergency stopping or making turns.

With more lights than the previous Dualtron Thunder or Ultra, the rear LED’s are now brought closer together at the back of the footrest, making it brighter and quicker to notice by any observer. Dualtron Storm Lighting System comes with added visibility and safety during your night rides.

Previously, Dualtron Thunder and Ultra were equipped with Dual 5400 Watts electric motors built by Minimotors.

17% more power than Thunder and Ultra.Within the same motor size,Minimotors is able to put in an additional 17% more power in the Dualtron Storm totaling over 6.640 Watts Combined Power.

This amount of power is normally used on a 65 Kg, 110Km/h machine like the Dualtron X1.

But now, these motors are used to propel a much sleeker, 20 Kg lighter, Dualtron Storm to speeds up to 60 Mph.

New, Modular Motor Design. The motors now have a new, modular design, which makes the replacement of the brake disc, a much easier job than before.

Previously you had to pull the entire motor wire through the stem and the controller, cutting the controller connections, and having to resolder them back on when reassembled.

New, Modular 3-PIN Motor Wire Connection. All you have to do is unplug the 3-PIN Motor Wire from the motor and you have a completely separated motor in your hands.

Replace a tyre, the alloy wheel, or the motor, the brake disc, everything is now easier and faster and there is less risk of misalignment when put back on. Increased Life, Less Maintenance, Less room for error.

Battery Safety and Quality by by the Electric vehicle battery global leader - LG CHEM. In what very few manufacturers will spend money on, Minimotors has put the safety of its customers at the top, by spending top dollar for the most advanced and safe 72 Volts battery packs available.

Key Lock on the Battery Case. The battery is fully removable from the scooter, and lockable with a key that you must carry with you in the chance that you want to remove the battery, resulting in a more lightweight package to carry around and store safely at room temperature.

Safety, Safety, Safety. The safety aspect at this point, with so many new users of electric scooters every month, being inexperienced, and never having owned an electric scooter before, with such a big battery pack, this becomes the absolute greatest concern for the engineers at Minimotors, to protect future users against unintentional water damage or house fires.

Anti-Spark Connector. The battery is connected inside the scooter with an Anti-Spark Plug, adding to the ease of handling and safety, and less room for error, not having to think about disconnecting the black wire first, or reconnecting the red first, while work is being done by a repair technician or yourself.

Large Carry Handle. A large handle is built into the battery pack, for safe pickup and transport.

10-Hour or 4.8-Hour Charging time. Your choice. Two 3-Pin Charging ports are available to be used alone or in parallel if desired. ( 1x 1.5A or 2x 1.5A or 1x 6.5A + 1x 1.5A) resulting in 21, 10 or 4.8 hours charging times. Box includes only a 1.4A charger.

Fast charging the battery will dramatically drop the lifetime of the battery. Designed to last up to 5 years, may only last 2 years if fast-charged all the time.

Outside the Battery Compartment. In an unprecedented bold move, Minimotors is fitting the controller in the rear unit of the Dualtron Storm, outside of the battery compartment, and far from the battery and charging ports and switches.

Footrest.The built-in footrest is a great addition to Dualtron Storm and is also part of Dualtron Ultra II.

Outside Air Cooled Controller Box. The entire surface of the controller housing is passively air cooled by the fast moving air passing by during normal riding. Enjoy Maximum Power Output at any moment, and forget about overheating issues and the failing controllers of the past.
